Checkered plate

Checkered plate, also known as Checker Plate, Chequered Plate, is a light-weight metal sheet with a raised diamond pattern commonly used as non-slip tread plate for trucks, grating flooring, walkway for a safety flooring surface. The chequered steel sheet surfaces are protected by galvanizing and / or powder coating. Chequer plate is used for flooring, stair treads, ramps, and protective surfaces in industrial, commercial, and vehicle applications to enhance slip resistance and provide a durable, non-slip surface. Chequer plate is used with steel grating for enhancing slip resistance, providing a smooth walking surface, and distributing loads more evenly in areas with heavy foot traffic or slippery conditions. The typical use of chequer plate combined with steel grating includes industrial walkways, access ramps, stair treads, and platforms where enhanced slip resistance and a durable, non-slip surface are required for safety in wet or high-traffic environments.
